Executive Director- Child Development Services / Lakeshore Head Start is a leading provider of early childhood development in Holland, MI. We have initiated a search for an Executive Director. This key position leads the organization and will be responsible for casting the vision, working with an experienced team to develop and accomplish objectives to fulfill that vision, and for overseeing all aspects of daily operations.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a heart for children and for early childhood development
- Be collaborative and approachable, yet decisive
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have an open ear to staff, parents and to the community
- A Master’s Degree in a related field
- A minimum of five years experience in an executive role. Head Start experience a big plus.

Teacher – Child Development Services Lakeshore Head Start has a full-time lead teacher position in Holland at the Tech Head Start center working with preschoolers Monday-Friday, in our year round program. Must have BA degree in early childhood education or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children. Prefer teaching certificate with a ZA (early childhood) endorsement. Prefer Spanish/English bilingual skills. Teacher Assistant Floater – Child Development Services Lakeshore Head Start has a full-time position, 32 hours per week, school year in Holland working with young children, birth to preschool age. Will have an assigned center in Holland but must be willing to work at any Head Start center in Ottawa County and enjoy working with a variety of staff and children. Must have a CDA credential or be enrolled in a CDA class and ready to obtain the credential within one year of hire. Early Head Start Home Visitor – Child Development Services-Lakeshore Head Start is looking for a part time 15-20 hours per week, year round EHS Home visitor to conduct home visits and socializations utilizing Parents as Teacher curriculum.
