Curriculum For Early Head Start

Art time

Our staff in our center-based infant and toddler classrooms use the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos. Individualized lesson plans are completed on a bi-weekly basis for this age group. Lesson plans are available for your review; please ask your teacher where to find them!

In our home-based infant and toddler program, we use the Parents As Teachers curriculum. Individualized lesson plans are completed on a weekly basis for this program. They are developed with the family.

Social-Emotional Development: All our classroom staff members have received training on increasing children’s social and emotional development. Our classroom environments are designed to foster a child’s self-esteem and help them grow socially and create secure attachment relationships.

Sign Language for Babies: Sign language is used in all of our infant and toddler classrooms. It helps children to communicate their needs before they are able to talk. Research shows that children who use sign language enhance their vocabulary skills.

Books: Each child in our program has the opportunity to receive at least 4 free books per year for their home library.

Field Trips: Each classroom takes field trips throughout the year to local community resources such as the library. We welcome parent’s involvement! Field trips are free of charge to children enrolled in our programs.
